An experienced  nurse executive and clinical leader with 37 years’ experience in healthcare.  Completed RN training in England and then specialized in intensive care nursing before moving into nurse manager and executive positions in various hospitals in England. Successfully completed five nurse executive roles and worked as part of the Chief Nursing Officer for England’s team as the Regional Nurse Director for NHS Northwest. In addition completed roles as Deputy CEO, Chief Operating Officer and Acting CEO in tertiary hospitals. He has fours years experience of working in the Middle East, previously working in Abu Dhabi as the Director of Quality and Accreditation with Zayed Military Hospital before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi in January 2012 as Director of Nursing for Ambulatory Services. Joined Hamad Medical Corporation as Assistant Executive Director of Nursing at Hamad General Hospital in November 2013 and became Executive Director of Nursing for HGH in June 2015.  His special interests lie in people development, patient and staff engagement and clinical operations. Awarded an O.B.E. from the Queen in 1998 for services to nursing management and Furness General Hospital.
